Academy Hour

Certified First Responder Counselor, 2023

Nicole Hixenbaugh, NCC, CTT, LPC, CFRC 
Nicole is the owner of Solutions West, LLC and has a passion for working with adults who want to become who they want to become versus who they had to become. She has over a decade of experience assisting individuals develop a sense of self and stabilize symptoms that have become challenging. Clients she has worked with are interested in learning about what has been going on underneath the surface to better understand how the past is impacting the present through body awareness, emotional awareness/regulation, and processing the “unprocessed” event to “repair” the mental injury. She works with each client as their own person as everyone has their own unique experiences and needs through EMDR therapy and other counseling techniques/therapies. She is a Certified Trauma Therapist and Certified First Responder Counselor, as she has a special interest in serving the First Responder community.

Nicole is currently able to provide consultation hours for individuals working towards EMDR certification, in addition to supervision hours for LPC. Please contact info@solutionswest.org for details.



Erynne Schoeneweis, MS, NCC, LAPC

Erynne is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with experience working with adolescents, adults, and college students with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, trauma, relationship issues, identity, managing life circumstances, and career decisions. She brings lived experience and clinical knowledge in working with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ folks and is a minority-affirming therapist.


She graduated with her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University in 2023. She also graduated from Mercyhurst University with her Bachelor’s in Applied Psychology.


Erynne strives to create a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions, and work towards achieving their personal goals. She tailors her counseling approach to meet each client’s needs. Using a person-centered and a strengths-based approach, she aims to help clients build a safe space to thrive in life and become authentically who they are.
